All-New Kia Seltos Premieres in India: Bookings Open Tonight
If you’ve been eagerly waiting for the next chapter of the Kia Seltos story, your moment has arrived. Kia has chosen India for the global debut of the all-new Seltos, marking a bold step forward for the brand that first captured hearts here in 2019. Bookings for this redesigned SUV open tonight at midnight with a token amount of Rs. 25,000, and official prices will be revealed on January 2, 2026. Customer deliveries are expected to begin by mid-January, giving enthusiasts something exciting to look forward to.
A Bold New Look That Turns Heads
Kia has not just refined the Seltos’ previous design; it has reimagined it. The SUV now measures 95 mm longer, 20 mm wider, 15 mm taller, and sits on an 80 mm longer wheelbase. This gives the Seltos a more commanding presence on the road. At the rear, a wide LED bar, reprofiled bumper lines, and new turn signals make it appear broader and more muscular. The front gets a chunkier grille, taller bonnet, and vertical DRL modules that enhance its sharp, confident stance. Additional styling touches include new 18-inch alloy wheels, short overhangs, dual-pane sunroof, and redesigned mirrors, making it both elegant and sporty.

Step inside, and the cabin immediately impresses. The previous segmented dashboard is gone, replaced by a single-panel curved design that merges the digital cluster and infotainment under one seamless glass surface. Softer materials, premium textures, and refined stitching elevate the feel, while the GT Line trim offers two-tone interiors, metal pedals, a flat-bottom steering wheel with toggle controls, and neat storage solutions. Comfort features include ventilated front seats, a 10-way powered driver seat with memory, dual-zone climate control, panoramic sunroof, and even sunshades for rear passengers.
Familiar Power, Refined Performance
Under the hood, Kia has kept the trusted engine lineup intact. The 1.5-liter naturally aspirated petrol (115 PS/144 Nm), 1.5-liter turbo petrol (160 PS/253 Nm), and 1.5-liter diesel (116 PS/250 Nm) continue to offer both manual and automatic transmissions, including iMT, IVT, and AT options. Overseas markets may see all-wheel-drive variants and a 1.6-liter hybrid engine in the future.
Technology and Safety Packed In
The all-new Seltos offers a connected experience reminiscent of Kia’s Syros and EV6. It features a 30-inch connected screen setup, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, and Kia Connect 2.0 with 91 connected features, including live vehicle diagnostics. Safety hasn’t been overlooked, with six airbags, ESP, TCS, and Level 2 ADAS functionality. The SUV also comes with a 360-degree camera, rear reclining seats, 60:40 split bench, and advanced ambient lighting.

Competing in a Tough Segment
The new Seltos enters a highly competitive midsize SUV segment, going head-to-head with the Hyundai Creta, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, Tata Curvv, Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder, Skoda Kushaq, VW Taigun, Honda Elevate, and Citroen Aircross. With a combination of bold design, premium interiors, technology, and safety features, Kia aims to keep the Seltos at the forefront of India’s SUV market.
